We rely entirely on volunteers from partnering churches to help us provide the following services:
FURNITURE - When people call in offering to donate their used furniture, we ask that they email us a picture so we can determine if it is in good condition, and if we have a place to put it. If so, they can either drop off the furniture at our Thrift store in Maple Lake, or we use volunteers to pick up the item and deliver it to the store for them. If there is no client needing the furniture immediately, it will be put up for sale in the store. If you have a gently used furniture item to give away, please give us a call. LULLABY (baby items) – We have a ministry to families with babies and young children called the Lullaby Ministry. During the Intake process, clients are asked if they have needs for their little ones – diapers, wipes, blankets, bottles – or any other type of baby item. These needs are then referred to our Lullaby volunteers who deliver the items to the families. This ministry gets many requests for all sizes of diapers. MINOR CAR REPAIR – Through a grant from United Way, we are able to pay for a small portion of a car repair cost – up to $250 per family per year. We pay for the parts and use our volunteers for the labor.
MINOR HOUSEHOLD REPAIR – As with the car repair, Love INC is able to pay up to $250 per family per year for household repair costs incurred by our volunteers.
TRANSPORTATION TO MEDICAL or WORK-RELATED APPOINTMENTS – because we usually have to call a number of volunteers before we find one available, we need at least 2-3 day’s notice for rides to appointments.
LOCAL MOVING HELP – volunteers will help you move, usually within our service area, and with at least two weeks notice.
